My husband saw Dr Peller multiple times over almost a year's time for what was diagnosed by Peller as acute laryngitis. He did one scope, and continued to prescribe antibiotics despite MONTHS going by with worsening symptoms. Finally, in early December we sought a 2nd opinion. After one visit, a scope was done and a CT scan was ordered, then a biopsy. Then a PET scan. Stage 4 laryngeal cancer, requiring total laryngectomy. Tumor is 5 cm with invasion of the thyroid cartilage. Not a small, hard to diagnose lesion. If only Dr Peller had taken the time to investigate further instead of rushing through each appointment. Do not trust this man with what could turn out to be your life.

I went to Dr. Peller because I’ve had tonsil issues since June and he was fantastic. He’s been flexible with my schedule since I go to college in steamboat. Along with taking my tonsils out, he also fixed my enlarged turbinates and my adenoids and I can finally breathe and wake up refreshed instead of exhausted. You can tell how much he cares about his patients and improving their lives. Truly the best ENT out there in the Denver metro area. Highly recommend!

In October of last year, I had surgery with Dr. Peller, and it turned out to be the worst decision of my life. The procedure left me with permanent damage, including a significant perforation in my septum (a hole in the wall inside my nose). This perforation has caused me numerous symptoms: pain on the bridge of my nose, pain on the sides of my nose, pain in my front upper teeth, severe pain inside my nose, extreme dryness, and I was unable to breathe properly for the first six months post-surgery.

The physical pain was just one aspect of this nightmare. The constant discomfort and inability to breathe properly led to severe anxiety and panic attacks. There were days when I felt so hopeless and despondent that I lost interest in living. Additionally, I have to deal with daily nosebleeds, which puts me at a higher risk of massive bleeding. Living with these issues has been a continuous struggle.

I believe Dr. Peller lacks personal integrity and ethical values. I feel misled and betrayed by him. When I consulted him for a septoplasty, he assured me he would only straighten my nasal septum. I specifically asked if he would perform any additional procedures, and he emphatically said no. However, after the surgery, I discovered through the surgical notes that he performed extra procedures without my consent, including work on my turbinates, which I had explicitly asked him not to touch due to potential complications.

These additional procedures were not only unnecessary but have also caused me further harm. I suspect they were done to bill more to my insurance, rather than for my benefit. I feel deceived and wronged. Moreover, he prescribed a nasal spray steroid that exacerbated my symptoms. He did not take the time to evaluate whether this medication was appropriate for me, resulting in worsened conditions.

It's disheartening to think that the person you trust with your health can betray that trust so profoundly. The impact of his actions has been devastating, both physically and emotionally. I am now left with a nasal perforation, which is a severe and life-altering condition. My research has shown that the risks associated with septoplasty, such as nasal perforations and empty nose syndrome, are much higher than commonly acknowledged. This information is often downplayed, perhaps to avoid deterring potential patients.

I strongly urge anyone considering surgery with Dr. Peller to seek a second opinion and thoroughly research the potential risks involved in such procedures. Ensure that your surgeon is transparent and trustworthy. My experience has been a painful and ongoing ordeal, and I hope others can avoid the same fate by being more informed and cautious than I was.

In conclusion, while Dr. Peller has the right to respond to this review, I believe that his lack of personal integrity, ethical values, and moral compass severely undermine his credibility. I highly recommend finding a different doctor or reconsidering surgery to avoid similar issues.

I have attached a video that shows my permanent damage. Unfortunately, it happened after my surgery with Dr. Peller. It could have been prevented if I had the right doctor.

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Douglas Peller regarding a surgery I underwent. Unfortunately, the outcome was extremely poor, and I feel compelled to warn others about my experience.

From the outset, Dr. Peller displayed a lack of integrity and empathy towards me as a patient. Despite initial courteous treatment, his attitude changed dramatically post-surgery. He appeared disinterested and distant, and it became evident that he lacked genuine concern for his patients' well-being.

The surgery I underwent with Dr. Peller was a disaster. Not only did it have poor results, but the lack of empathy and care from Dr. Peller was deeply disappointing. It seems that he prioritizes profit over patient welfare and is willing to deceive patients to undergo unnecessary procedures.

In summary, I would strongly advise against seeking treatment from Dr. Douglas Peller. My experience with him was marked by incompetence, dishonesty, and a complete lack of empathy. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering treatment under his care.
